Asara: "Without energized, bold representation our city will continue to be held back from achieving its full potential as regional city, we deserve a better brand of politics than usual politics and that is why I have seriously declared myself to contest for woman seat for Arua city come 2026".
The position of member of Parliament for Arua city is a commanding position and with triple divisions, the race will not be a tea party for the contenders, it will be a titanic battle.
Asara said there will be no uphill slog for her because she is not a political orphan, she knows where she will be harvesting her votes as she is a prolific political campainer.
She adds that no one owns Arua city where he/she produced it like a baby, it is a cosmopolitan place for everyone and she has the right to contest as daughter of Arua city and pompously said some leaders are just spout tired talking points, poll-tested pabulum and she has to stop them going again to the parliament in 2026 election.
She told today Africa News that she wants to prove her political prowess because the people of Arua city have not been reflected in representation, and she wants to leave a legacy not only for herself but want history to be kind to the people of Arua city.
And further pointed out the issue of Ayivu been surrendered to the city which she says is making her sick everyday and once she becomes woman Member of Parliament which is certain, she will make it incumbent upon herself to raise it in the floor of parliament more often and vows not to sit down in the parliament until parliament reverses the decision.
"You know my record of following things when I was the district councilors, I will keep raising the issue in the parliament and even meet president Museven about it", Asara reiterated.
She says she is going to bring hope for Ayivu, and her leadership will break barriers and there would be joy in Arua city and Ayivu land.
Now with the entrance of Asara Night, the titanic battle and campaign will be stretching the nerves of political stakeholders in Arua city.
